    Cross-Linker global für WordPress MU einsetzen 

    Wer mehrere Blogs mit WordPress MU betreibt hat ggf. ein Interesse daran, diese auch automatisch untereinander zu verlinken. Cross-Linker für WordPress bietet die Möglichkeit bestimmte in Posts vorkommende Wörter automatisch in Links umzuwandeln.

    Sinnvoll für WordPress MU wäre es ja jetzt eine globale Datenbank mit Wörtern und Links zu haben, auf die jeder Blog in dem das Plugin aktiviert ist zugreifen kann. Nach einem kurzen Mailwechsel mit Jan, dem Entwickler des Plugins hatte ich schnell die Lösung:

    $wpdb->prefix . (Achtung: Leerzeichen Punkt Leerzeichen nach ->prefix) im gesamten Plugin löschen (kommt in der aktuellen 1.4.3er-Version 73 Mal vor) und schon benutzt das Plugin in jedem WordpressMU-Blog die gleichen Tabellen, Änderungen die man in einem Blog an den verlinkten Wörtern macht werden also global übernommen. Chic, was?

    Wordpress-Theme Prologue auf Deutsch 

    Prologue, ein Theme von den Wordpress-Machern erfreut sich besonders auf Blogs mit mehreren Autoren und eher kürzeren Artikeln wachsender Beliebtheit (Matt zieht ganz deutlich Parallelen zu Twitter).
    Hier ist jetzt eine komplett eingedeutschte Version (entspricht Prologue 1.3, übersetzt sind alle Texte sowie die Datumsformate) zum Download.

    Ausserdem ist der -Tag in eine suchmaschinenfreundlichere Form gebracht. Eine kleine Vorschau des Themes bekommt man auf <a href="http://prologuetheme.org/">http://prologuetheme.org/</a>, die hier auf <a href="http://hausmitteilungen.com">hausmitteilungen.com</a> DTFDW-Hauptseite zum Metablog geworden.<br /> <em>Was ist das jetzt schon wieder?</em> <img src='http://hausmitteilungen.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> Ein Metablog sammelt die Beiträge aus mehreren Blogs und stellt sie gesammelt dar, das hat hier für uns den Vorteil dass alle dazu beitragen (können), die Seite mit aktuellen Inhalten zu füllen.<br /> Ich werde noch für ein gemeinsames Archiv sorgen das sich durchsuchen lässt, danach ist die Seite eigentlich bis auf kleinere Eingriffe ein Selbstläufer.</p> <p>(Für die, die es interessiert: ich verwende zum Aufbau des Metablogs <strike><a href="http://www.ozpolitics.info/blog/?p=87" target="_blank">bdprss</a>, womit ich die Feeds der einzelnen Blogs zusammenfasse und über ein angepasstes Template auf der Hauptseite ausgebe. Das Plugin kommt ohne Cron-Job aus, da es durch Hits aufgerufen wird. Hier gilt: je mehr Besucher ein Blog hat, desto mehr Feeds kann ich auf diese Weise zusammenfassen.
